I was going to go contrarian against all the other experts because loyal SportsLine followers know that when more than three agree on a game, it usually ends up wrong. However, Bam Adebayo will play for the Heat so I don't see them losing to a Mavs team on the front end of a B2B and without Kristaps Porzingis and Maxi Kleber. I'd also recommend the Under 210 points.
The Heat are real title contenders who play both ends of the floor. Luka Doncic will not know what hit him with the amount of different defenders whom he will see from the best team in the Eastern Conference. The Mavs are pretenders. They're better than bad teams, but they're not a championship team. This is a slam dunk Heat win.
Miami's Bam Adebayo (knee) and Dallas' Kristaps Porzingis (back) are listed as questionable, so both teams could be without a key frontcourt member. Porzingis has missed three straight games and the Mavericks play again Wednesday, so there might be a better chance that he sits out. Meanwhile, Adebayo was a full participant in Monday’s practice. Even with him sidelined for their last game, the Heat smoked Memphis by 26 points on the road. Not only are they 5-1, but all five of their victories have come by at least 13 points. I’ll take Miami to cover this small number.
Bam Adebayo (20.6 ppg, 14.0 rpg) practiced Monday and I expect him to play Tuesday in Dallas as the Heat look to improve to 6-1. Miami, whose only loss came in overtime, should dominate inside. Look for the Heat to cover for the ninth time in their last 11 visits to Dallas.
