Last Thursday, the Trail Blazers upset the 76ers in Philadelphia as double-digit underdogs. In that contest, Portland was without Damian Lillard due to an abdominal injury and still recorded a blowout victory. Look for Philadelphia to be much more focused tonight and avenge the lackluster loss. Take the 76ers.
This technically is a revenge game because the Trail Blazers won at Philadelphia last week, but Ben Simmons didn't play in that game. There is no real rivalry here, unless we’re talking Dr. J versus Bill Walton in the 1977 NBA Finals. The 76ers have won six of their last seven, with the loss coming against Portland. I don’t see any signs that anyone is sitting, so I’m on Philadelphia to cover here.
Without Damian Lillard, the Trail Blazers dismantled the 76ers in Philly a week ago, 121-105. Portland got monster games from Gary Trent, Carmelo Anthony and Enes Kanter. It was Philly's only loss in the past seven games. (Ben Simmons did not play). Lillard is back, but I still like the 76ers to get payback and cover. Look for the 76ers to improve to 6-1-1 ATS in their past eight games.
