We liked using the A's last season and until proven otherwise, we'll continue to look for spots to take them. Adding Luis Severino at the top of the rotation was a rare ambitious move by the A's in the marketplace, but he brings stability and the sort of track record Mark Kotsay hasn't had at his disposal in recent years. Though we're technically not in April yet, it was Severino's best month last season with the Mets, recording a 1.90 ERA in five starts. We'll hold off on jumping on any Logan Gilbert bandwagon for the Mariners, considering Seattle won only four of his last fourteen starts last season, when the M's stalled down the stretch. Play A's on Money Line.

-110 currently available at DK and CZR. Should be -125 like the rest of the market.
Oakland/Sacramento was a solid ATS bet last year but largely at home; it was 31-50 SU on the road. Luis Severino gets the call, and he was pretty solid last year for the Mets but that was a contract year. Now that Severino got his money? I have few doubts about Seattle's Logan Gilbert, a legit AL Cy Young candidate who had a 2.94 home ERA last season and 2.41 in three starts vs. the A's. Like in 2024 with the M's, will they hit enough? Shocked they didn't add a big bat in the offseason. If your book offers, Seattle simply to not bat in the bottom of the 9th at -120 is preferred to this. Was hoping we would have that offering.
