    Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Matt's Analysis:

We push, we push. But I love the Orioles getting a run at home. As long as Craig Kimbrel is not allowed at Camden Yards. Kimbrel might be an anadrome for kerosene. Well too many letters. Friars closer Robert Suarez is perhaps not available after 1.2 innings last night. That whole Padres bullpen has been taxed this week. We get why SD is favored as Baltimore's Dean Kremer is meh, but I still think the O's should be slightly favored. Most of their hitters are at least familiar with Padres starter Michael King from his Yankees days.

    Zack's Analysis:

The pendulum has swung in the markets today as the San Diego Padres go from a steep underdog winner Friday, to a road favorite against the Orioles. As great as the Padres have been playing they are in midst of their third straight road series. Look for the Orioles bullpen to keep it together in a close victory and end the Padres six game winning streak. Take Baltimore.

    Bob's Analysis:

San Diego is on a six-game road win streak. The Orioles have lost four of their last five games and are the MLB’s top over team. However, over the last month, they’re only hitting .234 with a .717 OPS against righties at home. San Diego has been crushing righties on the road, .285 average with a .761 OPS and face an inconsistent Dean Kremer at home, who’s held three of his last four opponents to three runs, or less. The Orioles last four home game have gone under following a loss and a total set at nine, or less.

    Bruce's Analysis:

We haven't totally missed the Padres in their current uptick, backing them a few times in their surge of six wins in a row in a road trip that looked quite daunting exiting the All-Star break. After winning with Adam Mazur on the mound last night, San Diego's chances should be even better with Michael King and hit 1.47 ERA across his last four starts, and a very good current second fiddle in this rotation behind No-Hit Dylan Cease. Meanwhile note the Birds are only 22-22 across their last 44, fortunate the Yankees have cooled even more the past six weeks, and Dean Kremer (6.43 ERA last three) is hard to trust at moment. Play Padres on Money Line.
