Marlins starter Jesus Luzardo owns a 0.92 ERA this month after not allowing a run in his last two outings. He's fanned 19 and walked one in May. After a tough 2-1 loss Monday, look for the Marlins (8-4 last 12 games) to bounce back early against knuckleballer Matt Waldron. Play Miami on the F5 run line.
It's an irresistible combination for "under" results on the Miami side! Solid pitching and not much hitting for the Marlins have resulted in a total of 16 runs scored across their last five games...barely three runs pg! (All "under" as well.) Last night's 2-1 loss at Petco, with the winning run being walked across in the 7th inning, is indicative of recent Miami efforts. A good chance tonight that Jesus Luzardo delivers for the Marlins with his 0.92 ERA in May, not allowing a run across 14 innings in his last two starts. Meanwhile, Matt Waldron has been giving the Padres serviceable work for five or so innings in recent starts before turning the game over to the SD bullpen. Play Marlins-Padres "Under"

Jesus Luzardo is coming off back-to-back scoreless outings, and he's completed six innings in three of his last four, missing out on the other by one out. He's up against a Padres lineup that has just a 84 OPS+ against lefties this year. Lefty starters have thrown six innings in eight of the last 11 starts against San Diego, and one of the other three was on a pitch count coming off IL but performed well. With Luzardo on a hot stretch, I expect he'll join that six-inning vs. Padres group today.
