Reid Detmers started to make some strides late last year and he is pretty nasty from the left side and locating his fastball well. Anthony Rendon has had a tough start to the season where he is 0-19 at the plate. The surprising Red Sox are 5-2 thanks to their defense, pitching and speed, especially Jarren Duran, who's 6 for 6 on steals. Starter Kutter Crawford was brilliant in his first outing, fanning seven Mariners in six innings of one-run ball. Angels starter Griffin Canning showed extreme vulnerability in his first start and Boston has the better bullpen, too.
