We hit Under 9.5 between these two easily yesterday, and I think the starting pitchers might be better suited for an Under today in Tarik Skubal and Daniel Lynch. The lineups always are suited for an Under. Skubal has eight scoreless innings in his return from injury, while Lynch shut out the Tigers in Detroit over seven innings a few weeks ago. Riley Greene is out of the Tigers lineup and he's the most important guy in it. No Salvy Perez again for KC, I'm assuming, due to a hamstring injury. The winds are blowing in a bit.
Neither of these teams can score. Monday, they combined for five runs. The under has hit in seven of the last 10 games for the Tigers, while it has hit in seven of the last nine games for the Royals. The Tigers will start Tarik Skubal, who has combined to log eight shutout innings since returning from injury. The Royals will roll with Daniel Lynch, who produced seven scoreless innings the last time he faced the Tigers. Overall, he has given up three or fewer runs in five of his last six starts. I’ll take the under.
All aboard the Detroit Tigers bandwagon. Half kidding, but they've won 16 of 30 games and staged an impressive come from behind victory last night down 2-0 heading into the 8th inning. Daniel Lynch will get the start for KC and while he did pitch well against the Tigers earlier this season, Detroit's bats are very familiar with him and they hit southpaws well. Tarik Skubal will be on the mound for Detroit and he has yet to surrender an earned run through two appearances and eight innings pitched. It also appears that the Royals will once again be without Salvador Perez who has been their second best hitter, in addition to the only member of the Royals who has had success against Skubal.
