Let's play the comparative scores game. Minnesota, in the midst of a four-game straight-up win streak, beat Southern Cal by seven points and UCLA by four. Rutgers, mired in a four-game straight-up slide, fell to UCLA by three and USC by 22. The Scarlet Knights have been outscored by 67 points during their slump. Rutgers QB Athan Kaliakmanis has just three TD throws in the past half-dozen games. He is no secret to Minnesota, where he played before transferring. Worse for the Knights, top RB Kyle Monangai and sacks-minded DE Wesley Bailey are out.
Haven't done many totals this season; just not getting a good read on them. That there's now a two-minute warning timeout in both halves somewhat helps to boost Overs, which I don't prefer. I'm not sure how Rutgers even gets to 17 points today without top running back Kyle Monangai, who has rushed 172 times for 931 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is the RU offense. And I don't really see the Fighting Flecks scoring 30 on the other side.
