Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Zack's Analysis:

Late add in tonight’s Mountain West clash between New Mexico and San Diego State. The Lobos have lost consecutive games but have scored 45 or more points in four out of their last five games. Tonight lies an opportunity to put the pressure on an Aztecs team that has had issues in close games. A one point loss to Central Michigan, and a three point loss to Washington State. Take New Mexico as the slight underdog.

Matt's Analysis:

Remember when San Diego State was the Iowa of the West Coast in that its games always ended something like 20-17? These are not those Aztecs, and both schools might hit 40 points tonight as both defenses are terrible. Well, San Diego State pass-rusher Trey White is excellent. He leads the country in sacks per game (1.44), tackles for loss per game (2.06), total tackles for loss (16.5) and ranks second in sacks (11.5). UNM is without its No. 2 running back and its No. 1 WR, Luke Wysong, could miss a third straight game. Despite missing the two, he leads UNM in receptions (50) and receiving yards (663). SDSU has won nine straight in the series.
