Each of the last four Charlotte games have fallen under this total and two of the last four FAU games have fallen under this total. Look for a close game which features a lot of punts.

Let's do the math. Six touchdowns (plus PATs) equal 42 points, which would secure an Under with no margin for error. In seven outings, Charlotte has managed 11 TDs on offense, second fewest in the nation. The 49ers are permitting 16 offensive TDs. Their last two finales resemble first-quarter scores: 14-0, 10-7. They should do their part toward delivering an Under. FAU has a livelier offense, yet its defense just allowed 14, 17 and 23 (to Power Five league member Illinois) prior to stumbling in the last game. Only twice has an Over occurred in the past 10 49ers home dates. Usually, totals in the 30s involve games with Iowa or the service academies. Add Charlotte to the list.
