Neutral court game in the Bahamas. Tennessee’s offense has been great to start the season as they’re shooting 65.4% effectively on the season, second-best in the country. It seems like people assume the Cavaliers were going to be in a lot of trouble without Tony Bennett, but they still have an above average defense, 44th in the country, and have been knocking down their three’s, 44.6% on the year. While Tennessee is by far the better team, but their offense which is always up for debate, hasn’t been challenged yet. This will be a true test to see how good their offense is and with a low total, this should be a defensive battle that may keep the Cavaliers within the number.
Both of these teams are elite defensively, and have smothered every opposing team they've faced this season. That said, the Vols can flat out score. Rick Barnes has put together a deep and talented group of guards that can both shoot and push the tempo. UVA isn't on the same level as Tennessee on the offensive end, but I do expect them to keep pace. This game should end with a point total at 130+.
