I can give no statistical reasoning for this pick as clearly the Panthers are going to win the Cup. And 8 people will show up at the parade in Sunrise, Fla. And one will have a warrant out for his/her arrest and get caught simply out of stupidity for shot-gunning a Schlitz and then throwing said empty can at a cop. That's Florida for you. Sadly, all the cliches are pretty much accurate about down here. But like the Celtics last night on the road, human nature for the Florida guys to kinda skate through this, pun intended, and then worry about clinching back at home. Following the lead, perhaps, of the Dallas Mavericks over in the NBA Finals, the Oilers can at least stave off elimination in the Finals by beating the Panthers tonight. Easier said than done, of course, as Edmonton hasn't done that in five total meetings vs. Florida this season. But the Oilers did finally put Sergei Bobrovsky under siege in Game 3 with a fightback in the third period, and McDavid, Draisaitl and friends have created enough quality chances in this series to suggest a few of those are eventually going to go the Oilers' way.
