There will likely be a two-point Sunday shift to this line by the time the game kicks off -- and it makes sense. The Ravens have been abhorrent offensively since Lamar Jackson went down. The Steelers, meanwhile, are starting to make some strides in the passing game now that Kenny Pickett is getting comfortable. Baltimore won this matchup by two on the road a few weeks ago, but Pittsburgh outgained it 264-94 through the air. The difference was three interceptions thrown by Mitch Trubisky, who came in for Pickett after he got knocked out early in the first quarter. The Steelers have no problems winning on the road in this series, and they enter with the more complete team given Jackson's absence. All Pittsburgh needs to do is slow down Baltimore's run a bit. I'll take +1 because, in a game with margins this small, every point matters.
The Ravens offense has struggled to score points since Lamar Jackson's injury, but the team has still won three of its last four by playing great defense, particularly against the run and on third down. The Steelers have leaned on the run and performed well on third down, so this matchup may put Kenny Pickett out of his comfort zone. The Ravens ran for 215 yards in the first Steelers game, and I think we could see something similar here. They have two losses since Week 6: a rare kicking mishap against the Browns where they got into field goal range five times and scored just three points, and the Trevor Lawrence hero drive in Jacksonville. Baltimore is much better than it's getting credit for.
