I’ve watched the Titans beat the Bills as underdogs each of the last two seasons, but none of the spreads were this large and the previous two were in Nashville. They beat the Bills with great play-action, passing using the threat of Derek Henry well. The Titans turned a 13-0 halftime lead at home into a 21-20 loss to the Giants. A.J. Brown is gone, missed. The Bills steamrolled the Rams in L.A. last week. I keep seeing play-action success by the Titans working. I took the points with the Titans.
No team looked better in Week 1 than the Bills, who pounded the Rams 31-10 despite committing four turnovers. The Titans, on the other hand, choked away a big lead at home to the lowly Giants, falling 21-20. But youthful Tennessee -- which played eight rookies -- showed promise, completing an NFL-high seven passes of 20-plus yards. Three Titans rookies combined for 10 catches for 132 yards. In the end, though, this handicap comes down to Mike Vrabel. He's 13-3 ATS as an underdog of 4-plus points, with 12 outright wins (including Week 6 vs. Buffalo last year). Look for Buffalo to win but for Tennessee to keep it respectable.
