Totals like this are always worth a look, particularly when one team welcomes back a pair of integral players from injury. WR DeVante Parker and C Michael Deiter will lace ‘em up for Miami after a hiatus. Tua Tagovailoa is getting the hang of quarterbacking. Although Giants QB Daniel Jones is out, veteran backup Mike Glennon might be just as effective, if not more. And if he isn’t, the Dolphins’ turnover-causing defense could create scoring.
Wow, this is such a low total but I'm still taking it because Daniel Jones has been officially ruled out for New York. Backup QB Mike Glennon flat-out stinks. The Miami defense is allowing just 11.5 ppg in its past four and the Giants' defense only 15.2 ppg in its past five. That half point might matter if this ends something like 23-17, which I can absolutely see happening.
This might push but I certainly don't trust the Dolphins at nearly -160 on the moneyline and I'm grabbing this now before it's Miami -3.5 everywhere (upset I didn't play it at -2.5 like I planned to early today). I'm playing this because reportedly Mike Glennon will start for the Giants at quarterback as Daniel Jones is dealing with a neck injury and is week-to-week. Jake Fromm, recently signed off the Buffalo practice squad, would be Glennon's backup. As a Bears fan, I can assure you that Mike Glennon will make Tua Tagovailoa look like Steve Young. Miami's surging defense should have another big game. Under 41 might be wise too.
