I have three points of value with the Lions, and if Jared Goff isn't fired up for this one, then he'll never be. Goff returns to SoFi Stadium (with fans this year) to face the Rams and new QB Matt Stafford, who Goff was traded for. And it comes a week after Lions head coach Dan Campbell told the media Goff needs to step up. The Lions are still winless at 0-6, but they are 3-3 ATS and have shown they can move the ball. Goff's revenge? I think he'll play well and be a huge part in getting the cover.
Putting all the revenge narratives aside, I see this game playing out pretty straightforward. The Lions have shown fight to start the season but showed signs last week of being defeated, and Dan Campbell is calling out his starting QB. I see the Rams building a big lead in this one early, and having a defense that will keep the Lions from mounting any kind of comeback. Particularly as I don't see how the Lions OL holds up against this front. The Lions won't score much, and I'd rather attack the total in case the Rams take their foot off the gas late.
