I've seen this movie before. We took Fred VanVleets boards against Dallas because Dallas can't out rebound anyone right now. VanVleet ended the night soaring over this number. Philadelphia in fact got out rebounded by Dallas, which gives me no reason to believe VanVleet can't do this to them too. I like HOU to keep VanVleet’s minutes up as he’s getting back into the groove after a long absence and Amen Thompson is out. Our Model projects him for 4.3.

Maybe if the Sixers lost instead at limping Dallas on Sunday, we might be more inclined to give them a look tonight. Remember, Philly hasn't won back-to-back games since late January, and Nick Nurse's makeshift roster doesn't include Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, or Paul George. But the attitude in the Sixers locker room has been more polluted than the Schuylkill, largely because of the indifference of Embiid and George, and note five of the six previous losses to the Dallas win were by double-digit margins. The Rockets should be on alert after getting unexpectedly pushed by lowly Utah on Saturday; remember, the Rockets beat the Mavs by 37 on Friday...the same Mavs who lost by just 5 to the Sixers yesterday.
