Not to overreact too much to injury reports, but when looking at who likely won't play for Dallas tonight (most of the team, including Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving), have to wonder where the Mavs are going to get their points. Recent form has not been spectacular anyway (back-to-back losses), and the Rockets were just on an 11-game home win and cover streak at Toyota Center before being outscored on Wednesday by the Hawks and Trae Young, who had 30 points. With the combos available to Jason Kidd tonight, we hardly envision Dallas being able to do the same. Play Rockets

Houston has lost three in a row, with the Rockets' trademark defense deserting them, but this is a great bounceback spot. The Rockets are 11-2 at home and facing a Mavericks team without Luka Doncic, center Dereck Lively II and defensive standout Dante Exum. Rockets leading scorer Alperen Sengun (19.7 ppg, 8/7 rpg) should dominate in a comfortable Houston win.

This Friday number doubled at FanDuel with Luka Doncic already ruled out -- with Kyrie Irving and Dereck Lively also still out. If this were college basketball, the Mavs would probably still win. Not in the NBA. I'm going to play it now (half unit on here) because I still think -255 is a bit low minus those guys and with how good Houston has been at home -- other than Wednesday, unfortunately.
