    Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Mike's Analysis:

The Knicks have lost three straight, which included a two-point loss to the Raptors at home. The Knicks are only 11-13 at home this season, compared to 14-9 on the road. The Raptors just played Saturday and OG Anunoby left that game with an ankle injury. While he is officially listed as questionable, I don’t think he plays. Fred VanVleet (ribs) could be back, but since I still think the Raptors will be missing a key member of their starting unit, I’ll take the Knicks.

    Matt's Analysis:

Still pretty infuriated that the Raptors blew tonight's (Saturday) home game vs. Boston. Fred VanVleet was a scratch pre-game and OG Anunoby left in the third quarter so neither of those helped, but I'll take the Knicks on normal rest here with the Raptors playing again 24 hours later and perhaps without those two. I really don't get why Toronto isn't so much better with such a good starting five. Probably because Nick Nurse drives them into the ground with mega-heavy minutes. He makes Tom Thibodeau look like a recess teacher.
