Cedric Mullins is off to a studly start and might become a premium trade chip at the deadline. He seems to be relishing that and should stay in leadoff spot even with Gunnar Henderson returning from injury. We would get this from a HR of course (he has 3 already). He's also getting on base 40% of time and can steal second or third (though Sal Perez is still tough to run on). Since 6/1/24, Mullins is 43rd in MLB with a .360 OBP vs righties and the O's lineup does its best work by far vs RHP. Feast or famine offense should scratch out more than a few runs tonight even with Seth Lugo on the mound.
Gunnar Henderson returns for the Orioles, whose offense got embarrassed by the Royals in the playoffs last year. But that's Orioles ball! Regular season is a different story. O's starter Dean Kremer loves to throw home run balls and when he misses its often centercut. The Pasquatch will probably get him again here, and Bobby Witt, Jr and Jonathan India see him well, too. The Orioles' bullpen already pretty leaky and their closer is nowhere close to top form. O's are a feast or famine offense but they should find some gaps in this ballpark.
