This feels one strikeout too low for me. Pitchers are generally ahead of hitters this early in the season and Skubal struck out at least seven in 20 of his 31 starts last year. The Dodgers only saw him once and he struck out eight in six innings. I have him doing the exact same today.

I have yet to identify my Martin Maldonado for this MLB season -- a guy that can't hit his weight (or Kate Moss' weight), and we fade almost daily on Under 0.5 hits. Detroit's Ryan Kreidler is Marty-esque with a career .147 average in 150 at-bats in the Show. He's only up because the Tigers have some injuries, so Kreidler, usually a shortstop, will be forced to start in the outfield apparently. But once healthy, he's likely going back to the minors so Kreidler won't be our full-time 2025 guy.
Before we stop the season and give the Dodgers the title, the best pitcher in baseball might be on the other side at the Ravine tonight. We might not get Tarik Skubal at this sort of a price the rest of the season. Remember, Skubal won the AL Cy Young last season, when he was 18-4 with a 2.39 ERA. The Tigers also roared down the stretch to make the postseason, and won in 12 of Skubal's 16 starts. Meanwhile, Blake Snell makes his LA debut, but we're rarely going to see him going beyond five innings. Dave Roberts is going to need his bullpen ready for some extended work. The Dodgers aren't going to win every game...are they? Play Tigers on Money Line.
