Ryan Feltner remains someone whose presence on the mound signals good thing for the opposing team. Rockies are 5-15 when he starts with 10 losses by 2+ runs. They are 2-9 on the road when he starts and they are a terrible road team. Their 23 covers on the road are tied for fewest in MLB. Blake Snell has finally started to look like himself the last few times out and Los Gigantes have played solid ball at home. We loved the Giants on FRI night and like them to open this DH as well

Last night we saw Kyle Harrison go for 11 punch outs against this Rockies lineup and now Blake Snell takes the mound in game one of a doubleheader. Snell has only thrown around 80 pitches in recent outings since returning from the IL, but he's cleared six innings in back to back starts. His strikeout indicators look great as well, with a swinging strike rate better than 15% (small sample) and a Stuff+ rating of 122 in his last 18 innings. Since they have a night game to follow, the Giants could lean into Blake Snell if he's pitching well, and extra chances could be just what we need. I think this should be priced worse so the upper strikeout levels are also of interest.
