The Royals have had a brutal schedule as of late having faced the Guardians, Mariners, Yankees, and Dodgers in four consecutive series. All of those teams are currently in 1st place in their divisions. KC now faces a struggling A's team and Cy Young candidate Cole Ragans will be on the bump for the Royals. Ragans will be opposed by Luis Medina who has surrendered 10 ER in his previous two starts. I think KC takes care of business on the road in Oakland.

After a great start to the season, they've cooled down but I believe its largely a result of the schedule. KC lost game 1 against Oakland, however I like their chances of finding success against Luis Medina coming off a career high 102 pitches in his last outing. Medina has failed to go 5.2+ IP in 14/20 career starts.

A lot is made of the A's pen but it is very top heavy - if you get into them early and they are trailing, they lack quality. Cole Ragans has ace stuff, and his numbers are inflated by 2 horrid outings. He owns the A's for 7 innings a month ago, allowing 2 hits and no runs. Should get solid run support tonight which has been lacking for him.
