Sure, Michael King has impressed on the mound lately for the Padres, who have won in six of his last eight starts. But that's about the only positive we can find at the moment for San Diego, especially on the road, where the Padres suddenly can't win, losing eight straight away after bowing 9-2 in this series opener at CBP. Home cooking has certainly worked lately for the Phils, who have won 12 of their last 13 as host. And if thinking King's presence is a plus for San Diego, consider that the Phils had won in 11 of 12 starts made by Aaron Nola prior to him getting roughed up at Boston last Thursday. Play Phils on Run Line

The Phillies' offense certainly woke up in Trea Turner's return on Monday with nine runs against San Diego. Doubt they manager that many tonight with Michael King on the hill for the Friars but a few Phils have really good if limited splits off him led by Bryson Stott (3-for-3, 2 HR). Phils pitcher Aaron Nola was crushed last time out but had thrown five straight quality starts prior. San Diego has lost eight straight on the road.

Aaron Nola was horrible last time out but love him to bounce back here vs a tepid SD lineup. PHI is 11-3 in Nola's starts and 8 of those wins have been by multiple runs. Didn't take the Phillies long to feel comfortable back at home, scoring early and often Monday with Brandon Marsh and Trae Turner now back in the lineup. PHI is 12-5 on the RL last 17 at home. This is a tiny ballpark and Michael King has already allowed 13 HRs this season; I see that being problematic for the Friars in this one.
