Mets can call all the team meetings they want. The bottom is dropping out. I'm going to keep riding this wave the Giants are on. Manea only went 4 2/3 when he faced Los Gigantes in SF, walking 4 and giving up 4 hits. Giants work counts and now are showing some power to boot, Webb is a top flight starter, he's been awesome vs Lindor and Alonso and Nimmo and McNeil. Mets bullpen is on fire (.436 SLG allowed in May, 29th in MLB: .375 OBP in May, 28th) and they don't have a closer. Mets 2-10 in last 12; SF 10-3 in last 13. Mets just 10-16 at home
The Giants bullpen has been in a tough spot this week with starters not giving them much length. On Saturday, they played 10 innings, using five relievers behind Jordan Hicks. Logan Webb has thrown 98+ pitches in six of his last seven starts and should be leaned on once again to get deeper in the game. The Giants also have to fly back home from NY after this one, before starting a series vs Philadelphia Monday afternoon... tough spot! As long as Webb is on the mound, I think you have to eat as many innings as possible with him and try to use this as almost an extra off day. Don't love the matchup but these hitters haven't had much career success off Webb.
