Things got wonky in MLB the final two weeks before the AS Break, which is usual. Then it got normal right after and we couldn't miss for a few days last week. Alas, we have given pretty much all of that back with a VERY strange week of results -- last night three different aces were shelled at home and lost as big favorites (so did I). So likely only picking one game today as usually do well on 1st games of the day for some reason. Shohei Ohtani pitches for the Angels -- and will not be traded -- but hasn't been near as good away. His former Angels teammate, Michael Lorenzen, has not allowed a run in three straight starts.
Michael Lorenzen had some grumbling dissent about him making the All-Star Game, but he’s proved himself lately so much that it forced a bet out of me. The Tigers have won by a shutout in his last three starts. He’s beaming with confidence. No runs allowed in his last three starts. That’s a trend worth following despite Ohtani starting who has given up 14 earned runs between his last three starts. Tigers to win.
