The Yankees began this series with a win Thursday, but it wasn’t all good news for them. Aaron Judge left with a hip injury and is going to miss at least this game, if not longer. They are already missing Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) and Harrison Bader (oblique), which has contributed to them posting just a .705 OPS as a team. Now they will face Jacob deGrom, which should make scoring runs even more difficult. Meanwhile, the Rangers could have a field day against Clarke Schmidt, who has a 6.30 ERA and a 5.90 FIP. At plus odds, I can’t resist this wager.
Aaron Judge just left tonight's game in Texas with an apparent injury -- he did hurt his hand Wednesday but said he was fine and started against the Rangers before being pulled. I now think he gets his first day off of the season Friday (Aaron Boone has to sit him occasionally) and was wondering if Caesars would keep this game on the board. Answer is yes but the ML has risen already. Too bad in a way if Judge can't play Friday as we miss him against Jacob deGrom. Definitely action only if deGrom starts. He has been totally dominant since a shaky Rangers debut.
