Week 3 in the UFL continued a strong run for underdogs with all four teams catching points covering, though only two managed outright wins. We also saw an uptick in scoring with two teams reaching 20 points in the same game for the first time all year and both Sunday games flying over the total. The DC Defenders won the battle of the last two unbeatens by holding the St. Louis Battlehawks to just 173 yards of offense despite the Defenders losing their defensive coordinator in the middle of last week.

Despite an uneven showing to begin the season, the Birmingham Stallions remain the slight favorite to win the UFL title again at +260 at DraftKings, with the Defenders and St. Louis Battlehawks just behind at +270. The XFL division, home of the Defenders and Battlehawks, holds the top three teams in point differential, with the Battlehawks, Arlington Renegades and Defenders all outscoring their opponents by at least eight points per game, while the Stallions (+3) and Michigan Panthers (+8) are only slightly above even in point differential for the USFL division.
