Penn State vs. Michigan prediction, odds, spread, line, start time: Proven expert releases CFB picks, best bets, props for Big Ten East matchup

Jimmie Kaylor, who has covered college football for over a decade, locked in his picks, predictions, props and best bets for Michigan vs. Penn State at Beaver Stadium on Saturday

The No. 3 Michigan Wolverines (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten) and the No. 10 Penn State Nittany Lions (8-1, 5-1 Big Ten) are set to square off in a game with significant College Football Playoff implications on Saturday at Beaver Stadium in Happy Valley. Kickoff is at noon ET. Penn State enters this matchup on a two-game winning streak, bouncing back nicely from its loss to Ohio State. The Nittany Lions beat Maryland 51-15 in their last outing. Michigan remains perfect on the season, with a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game and College Football Playoff in its sights. The Wolverines beat Purdue 41-13 in their last game. Michigan leads the all-time series 16-10. Michigan will be without head coach Jim Harbaugh, who has been suspended by the Big Ten for a violation of the league's sportsmanship policy.

The Wolverines are 4.5-point favorites in the latest Michigan vs. Penn State odds via SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points scored is 45. Michigan is a -208 (risk $208 to win $100) favorite on the money line, with Penn State listed as a +171 underdog (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college football odds page).

Before you make any Michigan vs. Penn State picks or any other college football predictions, you NEED to see which side proven SportsLine expert Jimmie Kaylor is on.

Kaylor is a NFL, college football, and DFS expert for SportsLine, who has covered the NFL and college football for close to a decade as a member of the Pro Football Writers of America. His background as a former college football All-American and NFL player gives him a unique perspective when building his fantasy lineups and locking in his betting picks. He has his finger on the pulse of the college football landscape and has been cashing in big for the last two years.

Kaylor has been red-hot all season, going 51-22-2 on his college football best bets for SportsLine this season so far! Anyone who has followed his picks is WAY UP!

Kaylor knows that both of the teams have their sights set on a Big Ten championship and spot in the College Football Playoff. Michigan remains relatively untested, but has taken care of business and won all nine of their games in blowout fashion. The Wolverines are allowing only 6.7 points and 231.4 total yards of offense per game this season.

Kaylor, however, also factored in that Penn State is more battle tested and has home field advantage for this game. The Nittany Lions have played ranked opponents twice -- beating No. 22 Iowa 31-0 and losing to No. 1 Ohio State 20-12. Penn State is also elite defensively, allowing 234.4 total yards and 11.4 points per game in 2023.

Now, Kaylor has locked in a confident against-the-spread pick for Penn State vs. Michigan. We can tell you he's leaning Under on the point total, but he knows a crucial X-factor makes one side of the spread a MUST-BACK! You ABSOLUTELY need to see what it is before locking in any picks of your own.
