Fantasy Football Week 16 Waiver Wire: How much to bid on Jerome Ford, Jalen McMillan and more key targets

R.J. White breaks down the best widely-available Fantasy football free agents heading into Week 16

The story of Week 15 in Fantasy football will come down to a number of explosive performances that will make it hard to advance if teams don't have at least one in their starting lineup. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Jared Goff all had massive performances at QB, with Baker Mayfield and potential waiver-wire streamer Aaron Rodgers also putting up strong numbers. James Conner turned in the biggest performance at running back, with potential waiver-wire addition Tyjae Spears among the top scorers in PPR formats as well. No big waiver wire names emerged at receiver (though Rashod Bateman and Jalen Coker certainly made a strong impact), but Davante Adams, Mike Evans, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Brian Thomas Jr. had massive games.

The bigger story around football may have been the QB turmoil that struck on Sunday, with six starters failing to make it to the final whistle. Some situations were straight benchings where we may have seen the last of Jameis Winston and Will Levis, but the bigger blows for both Fantasy and real football were the injuries to Patrick Mahomes and Geno Smith. The Chiefs offense with Mahomes hasn't looked that dynamic this season, so you can only imagine the downgrade with Carson Wentz under center. We don't have to imagine too much with the Seahawks, as Sam Howell looked atrocious after taking over for Smith. If either has to miss this week, it's a major downgrade for everyone in the offense, and Fantasy teams may have to look to the waiver wire to find alternatives for Chiefs and Seahawks players.

You'll find top options at every position rostered in 60% of leagues on CBSSports.com or fewer. We'll start with a waiver priority chart that features my FAB bid projections for every player discussed in this waiver wire article before we dive into key players.
