Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game Clemson vs. Georgia Tech line, odds, predictions: Spread pick for Monday's college football matchup from Tigers expert

Josh Nagel, who has hit six straight spread picks involving Clemson, has released his selection for Monday night's Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game between the Tigers and Yelow Jackets in Atlanta

The fourth-ranked Clemson Tigers begin what they hope will be a fruitful 2022 college football season with a prime-time matchup against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Monday night's Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. The Tigers went 10-3 in 2021 and face a Yellow Jackets team that finished the season 3-9. Clemson hosted Georgia Tech in December and eked out a 14-8 victory, its seventh straight against its ACC cross-division rival.

Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET at at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The Tigers are 24-point favorites in the latest Clemson vs. Georgia Tech odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under for total points scored is 51. Before you make any Georgia Tech vs. Clemson picks, you NEED to see the college football predictions from SportsLine senior analyst Josh Nagel.

Nagel is a Nevada-based handicapper with more than 20 years of experience in the sports wagering industry. Since the start of the 2018 college football season, he is 207-175-6 on all college football picks, returning a profit of $1,397. He also has a particularly keen eye for the Tigers, going 6-0 on his picks involving Clemson, returning $400 to $100 bettors. Anyone who has followed his advice is WAY UP!

Clemson will be looking to get off to a quick start, and starting QB DJ Uiagalelei has the talent to get the job done despite serious regression in 2021. The junior had 781 passing yards and accounted for six touchdowns in two starts in 2020, but he threw nine TDs and 10 interceptions last season as a full-time starter. The offensive line has more experience this year, and running backs Will Shipley (739 yards, 11 TDs in 2021) and Kobe Pace (641, six) should have success. The defense is expected to be one of the nation's best again.

Nagel also knows that Georgia Tech has a dangerous veteran quarterback in Jeff Sims, who has started most of the past two seasons. The dual-threat sophomore has passed for 3,349 yards and rushed for 864 over those two seasons, accounting for 35 touchdowns and throwing 20 interceptions. Hassan Hall, who had 1,299 yards and 13 TDs in in 42 games at Louisville, should excel at running back. The Yellow Jackets are in a transition period, but they could catch a Clemson team facing its own changes with two new coordinators.

Nagel has locked in his confident against-the-spread pick for Clemson vs. Georgia Tech in the 2022 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. We can tell you he's leaning Under the total, and he says a critical X-factor makes one side of the spread a MUST-BACK! You ABSOLUTELY need to see what it is before locking in any picks of your own.
