Detroit Pistons at New York Knicks (-6.5, O/U 221.5) 7:30 p.m. ET
The Pistons will try to even the series after dropping Game 1 to the Knicks, 123-112. Jalen Brunson led the way for New York with 34 points and eight assists. The Pistons will need to do a better job of closing on Monday. Detroit led by seven points heading into the fourth quarter but were outscored 40-21 the rest of the way.
That loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Pistons over New York, although the Knicks have won seven of the last 10 meetings overall. Seven of the last 10 games between the two teams have gone Over/
Los Angeles Clippers (-1, 217.5) at Denver Nuggets 10:00 p.m. ET
The Clippers had a chance to steal Game 1 at Denver, but the Nuggets prevailed 112-110 in overtime. Nikola Jokic just missed a triple-double, finishing with 29 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds. James Harden poured in 32 points and dished out 11 assists for Los Angeles in a losing effort.
The Nuggets have won five of the last six meetings in Denver, although the matchups are typically tight, with two games going to overtime and two others decided by three points. These teams tend to play lower-scoring games when they face each other, with seven of the last 10 meetings going Under.
St. Louis Blues at Winnipeg Jets (-190): 7:30 p.m. ET
The Jets secured their first Presidents' Trophy in franchise history after leading the NHL with 116 points in the regular season. But they faced some early trouble against the Blues in Game 1 with a 3-2 deficit heading into the third period before rallying for a 5-3 victory.
Jets left wing Kyle Connor scored a goal and notched two assists in Game 1 after leading the team with 97 points (41 goals, 56 assists) in the regular season. On the other side, Robert Thomas topped the Blues with 81 points (21 goals, 60 assists).
Philadelphia Phillies at New York Mets (-120) 7:10 p.m. ET
The two favorites in the NL East square off on Monday when the Phillies and Mets meet at Citi Field. Aaron Nola is expected to get the start for Philadelphia. It's been a tough opening month for Nola, who is 0-4 with a 6.65 ERA.
New York counters with Tylor Megill. The right-hander is 2-2 on the season but has a stellar ERA of 1.40. The Mets enter Monday winners of four straight after a sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals and have taken five of the last six against the Phillies.
