For four straight seasons, the market has undervalued the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have gone over their win total in each year from 2020-23. Wilson isn't the same player who made the Seahawks perennial Super Bowl contenders, but is he much worse than Ryan Tannehill, who enjoyed two strong seasons late in his career with new Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith running the show?

The defense, led by All-Pro edge rusher T.J. Watt, will continue to be the bedrock of the team and will likely be tasked with carrying much of the weight of success early on as the offense gets its feet underneath it. That needs to happen by midseason, as a brutal second half includes eight straight games to close the season against teams projected by the betting market to have winning records, including all six of Pittsburgh's divisional matchups. If the Steelers don't appear to be a playoff-caliber team by the time that stretch starts, that may be all she wrote for Tomlin's impressive run of avoiding losing seasons.
