The final major championship of the year is on tap this week, with the 2024 Open Championship set to get underway on Thursday, July 18 at Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is listed as the 4-1 betting favorite in the latest 2024 Open Championship odds. Other top contenders on the 2024 Open Championship field include Rory McIlroy (8-1), Bryson DeChambeau (9-1), Ludvig Aberg (9-1), and Collin Morikawa (10-1). Defending champion Brian Harman is listed as a 50-1 longshot. The total 2024 Open Championship purse is $17 million, with the winner taking home $3.1 million. The winner will also earn 750 FedEx Cup points. The first groups tee off at 1:35 a.m. ET.

Then, at the Valspar Championship, McClure listed Cameron Young, who finished in second place, as his top OAD pick.

More recently, at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, McClure recommended using 50-1 longshot Alex Noren in One and Done pools. Noren would go on to be in contention until the end, before finishing in third place, two strokes off the lead! And at the PGA Championship, McClure targeted Viktor Hovland and Collin Morikawa, who finished in third and fourth places, respectively. He targeted Morikawa again at the Memorial Tournament, where Morikawa finished second.
