2024 NFL futures, odds: Make or miss playoffs picks highlight best bets in AFC and NFC, which teams to fade
When we previewed the make/miss playoffs betting market last year, the Houston Texans had the longest odds to make the playoffs of any AFC team, while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the second-longest odds to make the playoffs of any NFC team behind the Cardinals. Fast forward to the wild card round of the playoffs and both teams were delivering blowout wins at home after taking their respective division crowns. On the flip side, four of the seven teams with the shortest odds to make the playoffs in the AFC failed to do so, proving true that you never really know what to expect in the NFL.
