2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta odds, picks, Fantasy golf power rankings: PGA Tour predictions and best bets for this week's event from golf expert

Eric Cohen reveals his golf best bets and top players for the 2024 edition of the Mexico Open at Vidanta in Vallarta

Hideki Matsuyama was brilliant on the back nine Sunday, making six birdies over his final nine holes to win The Genesis Invitational, a Signature Event on the PGA Tour. This week, the Tour moves south for the Mexico Open at Vidanta, played on The Norman Signature Course, Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta in Vallarta, Mexico, starting on Thursday. The first tee times are set for 8:30 a.m. ET. The purse for this week's event is $8.1 million and the field is a strong 132 golfers.

Defending champion Tony Finau is the favorite at +600, followed by Nicolai Hojgaard (+1800), Emiliano Grillo (+2000), Stephan Jaeger (+2200), and Thorbjorn Olesen (+2500).

With a wide open field at this week's event, who can you trust for your Mexico Open at Vidanta Fantasy golf picks? Before you set your 2024 Mexico Open Fantasy golf lineups or make any PGA Tour bets, you NEED to see the Fantasy golf rankings from Fantasy expert Eric Cohen.

Cohen is an avid golf bettor who correctly predicted the pre-tournament outright winner of the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic (Rickie Fowler +1400), 2023 PGA Championship (Brooks Koepka +2000), 2023 Honda Classic (Chris Kirk +3500), 2022 Open Championship (Cameron Smith +2200), 2022 U.S. Open (Matt Fitzpatrick +2500), and 2022 Phoenix Open (Scottie Scheffler's first career victory at +2800).

Eric is a contributor to SportsLine's YouTube shows including "Early Edge" and is the host of "The Early Wedge" golf show (live on Tuesday, 2/20 at 7:00 p.m. ET). Anyone who has followed Cohen's predictions has made positive gains on their golf picks.

Now, Cohen has studied the field set to play in Mexico and revealed his Mexico Open at Vidanta Fantasy golf rankings.

We can tell you he is backing Maverick McNealy at +6000. "His game is consistency across the board, as he showed at TPC Scottsdale (T6), where he gained strokes in all major categories. I would not be surprised to see the former Stanford superstar take another large step forward this week," Cohen said.

On the other hand, Cohen is fading the fifth betting choice, Thorbjorn Olesen at +2500. "He's surprisingly lost strokes off the tee in his last four tournaments, but his iron play has been a key to success. At his current price and with no course history in Mexico, I'll temper my expectations a bit."

Cohen also is backing several underdogs in his 2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta Fantasy golf picks, including a HUGE longshot who comes in at 175-1! If this player can pull off a stunning result, it would bring a HUGE payoff and be a valuable piece for Mexico Open Fantasy golf lineups. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before locking in any fantasy golf picks.
