The PGA Tour heads to Riviera Country Club in California for the 2024 Genesis Invitational this week, marking the third signature event of the season. The first tee times comes at 10:20 a.m. ET on Thursday. Tournament host Tiger Woods is set to make his season debut, which will be his first official event since the Masters last April. Scottie Scheffler is the 7-1 favorite in the 2024 Genesis Invitational odds, sitting ahead of Rory McIlroy (17-2). Other Genesis Invitational contenders include Viktor Hovland (12-1), Xander Schauffele (14-1), Max Homa (14-1) and Collin Morikawa (20-1). This tournament began as the Los Angeles Open in 1926.

Riviera Country Club, which will host the 2028 Summer Olympics and the 2031 U.S. Open, is a 7,322-yard par-71 designed by George Thomas in 1927. It has the fourth-largest greens on the PGA Tour and will be the second largest so far this season. Max Homa (2021) and Adam Scott (2020) are the only past winners who are in the field this week. Scheffler is making his sixth start at this tournament and has finished inside the top 20 in each of the last three years, but his best finish was a T7 in 2022.  

One major surprise the model is calling for at the Genesis Invitational 2024: Homa, who won this event in 2021 and is tied for fourth in the odds this week, struggles and barely cracks the top 10! Another surprise: Ludvig Aberg, a 20-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title.
