2024 Formula 1 schedule, F1 picks, odds: Singapore Grand Prix projected leaderboard, start time, race prediction from top model

SportsLine's model simulated the Singapore GP 2024 and released its F1 predictions for Max Verstappen and the rest of the grid

Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen still has a comfortable 59-point lead over McLaren's Lando Norris for a fourth consecutive F1 world championship, but McLaren has officially overtaken Red Bull in the constructors' standings after Oscar Piastri's win in Azerbaijan last week. Now McLaren will look to extend that lead in the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The lights go out at 8 a.m. ET and Norris is the +190 favorite in this week's Formula 1 odds. He's followed in the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix odds by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc (+350), Piastri (+400), Ferrari's Carlos Sainz (+700) and Verstappen (+900.

SportsLine's proven computer projection model simulated the Singapore GP 2024 10,000 times and come up with a surprising leaderboard.

Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary Formula 1 prediction model takes into account a slew of factors including track history and recent results.

The model has been scorching hot when it comes to picking Formula 1 race events dating back to 2021. It nailed both of Charles Leclerc's wins in 2022, and at the 2021 Mexican Grand Prix, the model was strongly backing Verstappen as its top pick. The result: Verstappen dominated the field and ran away with a surprising victory.

It followed that up by calling Verstappen's win at the Rolex Emilia Romagna GP in April and nailed Verstappen to win in Belgium, the Netherlands, Japan, the United States, Mexico and Abu Dhabi. It also called all 19 of Verstappen's wins during the 2023 season and nailed each of his seven wins in 2024 while also nailing Norris as a +200 in the Netherlands! Then last week it also called Alex Albon to finish in a points position for a plus-money payout before he went on to finish seventh in Azerbaijan. Anyone who followed the model's lead on those plays has seen HUGE returns!

The Marina Bay Street Circuit is a winding, 19-turn track through Downtown Core, the center of the Singapore city-state. It's hosted the Singapore Grand Prix since 2008, with the exception of in 2020 and 2021 because of COVID, and there has been at least one safety car deployed in every year that the race has been held. The track is lit with 1,600 custom-made floodlights every year and it's one of the biggest spectacles on the Formula 1 schedule every year.

Now, the model has dialed in on the 2024 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix and just released its coveted picks and leaderboard projections.

We can tell you the model is predicting a double podium for McLaren that would pay out +105. Red Bull Racing has been the dominant figure in the sport for years but with arguably the most exciting lineup of young drivers in the sport, McLaren has made enormous headway since making massive improvement to its car early in the season.

Norris and Piastri have combined to win four times and have piled up 15 of the team's collective 16 podiums in over the five months since those improvements. McLaren has had both drivers finish top five in each of the last six races and has earned double podiums in Hungary and Italy during that span. Either Piastri or Norris have won three of the last five F1 grand prix and the model is predicting a 1-2 finish on Sunday.

The model has also made its win prediction and is also targeting one significant underdog to make a charge up the leaderboard! Anyone who backs this driver could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who he is before locking in any Formula 1 Singapore GP picks of your own.

So who wins the 2024 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, and which SERIOUS longshot could be in contention? ...
