Over the past few weeks, we've taken a deep dive into NFL futures odds available at Caesars Sportsbook, creating a betting strategy from everything to Super Bowl and division winners to MVP and other major awards. Our last such piece (for now) breaks down Coach of the Year, an award that typically features a wide spread of odds available from book to book for different NFL head coaches. It's always important to shop around before making your bets, but in this particular award, I've seen coaches in the past that were among the favorites at one book and longest shots at others. It pays to do your homework!

Last year featured a particularly strong crop of candidates for the award. Doug Pederson turned the Jaguars from the worst team in football two years running into a playoff team; he finished third in the voting. Nick Sirianni changed the makeup of the Eagles offense in a way that steamrolled the NFC; he finished fifth. The winner? Brian Daboll, who faced a similar situation to Pederson in taking over for a woefully inept coach and pushing his team to a playoff appearance and even winning a game in the postseason.
