2022 Valero Texas Open odds, picks: Proven golf model reveals projected leaderboard, surprising PGA projections

The SportsLine Projection Model simulated the Valero Texas Open 2022 10,000 times and came up with a shocking leaderboard

The 2022 Valero Texas Open gets underway on Thursday, March 31, from TPC San Antonio, which is set to host the event for the 13th time. The 2022 Valero Texas Open field features a strong mix of proven champions and budding superstars eager to make their mark on the PGA Tour.

Caesars Sportsbook lists Rory McIlroy as the 15-2 favorite in the latest 2022 Valero Texas Open odds. McIlroy is followed by Jordan Spieth (14-1), Corey Conners (18-1) and Hideki Matsuyama (18-1) on the PGA odds board.

We simulated the 2022 Valero Texas Open 10,000 times, and there are some MAJOR surprises.

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been RED-HOT since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $8,200 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

At the 2021 Open Championship, McClure's best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 long shot. In addition, McClure's model was all over Jon Rahm's (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend, but the model still projected him as the winner.

This same model has also nailed a whopping seven majors entering the weekend! Anyone who has followed it has seen MASSIVE returns!

One major surprise the model is calling for at the Valero Texas Open 2022: Spieth, a 12-time PGA Tour champion and one of the top favorites, stumbles this week and barely cracks the top 10! Another surprise: Keegan Bradley, a 35-1 long shot, makes a strong run at the title. He's a target for anyone looking for a HUGE payday!

Also, the model is targeting FOUR other golfers with odds of 35-1 or longer who will make a STRONG run at the title! Anyone who backs these long shots could hit it BIG.

So who wins the 2022 Valero Texas Open? And which HUGE long shots make a serious run at the title? ... Join SportsLine right now to see who you can bank on to win the Valero Texas Open 2022, and see which long shots make a run at the title, all from the model that's nailed seven majors!
