2022 Masters odds, Sunday picks: Proven computer model reveals projected leaderboard, surprising PGA golf projections
The 2022 Masters heads to Sunday with Scottie Scheffler still in the driver's seat at 9 under. He was even money to win following Round 2, and though his stroke lead has fallen from five to three entering Round 4, he's now the 4-9 (-225) favorite in the updated Masters odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Cameron Smith, who is 6 under and the only other golfer within four shots of Scheffler, is listed at 13-5 (+260). Sungjae Im (-4) is going off at 14-1. Every other golfer is listed at 50-1 or higher.Â
With one round remaining, there are still a lot of opportunities for golf bettors to find value, and SportsLine simulated Round 4 of the 2022 Masters 10,000 times, producing some MAJOR surprises. So before you settle into watch Sunday of the Masters 2022, be sure what it has to say. And be sure to watch the Masters live here!
Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been RED-HOT since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $8,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.
At the 2021 Open Championship, McClure's best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 long shot. In addition, McClure's model was all over Jon Rahm's (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend, but the model still projected him as the winner.Â
This same model has also nailed a whopping seven majors heading into the weekend! Anyone who has followed it has seen MASSIVE returns!
One major surprise the model is calling for: Im, who is tied for the third-lowest odds at 14-1, stumbles big time and barely sticks in the top five. Another surprise: Justin Thomas, a huge 60-1 long shot, makes a strong run at the title. He's a target for anyone looking for a BIG payday.
Also, the model has a surprising prediction for where Tiger Woods finishes, and it is targeting a TRIPLE-DIGIT long shot who makes a stunning run toward the top of the leaderboard! Anyone who backs this golfer could hit it BIG.Â
So who wins the 2022 Masters? And which HUGE long shot is a MUST-BACK? ... Join SportsLine right now to see who you can bank on to win the Masters 2022, and see which long shot makes a run at the title, all from the model that is up over $8,000 on PGA picks since the restart!
