Three wins in a row for Colorado State. Five straight covers. No winning margin below seven points. There's the case for the Rams. Three straight-up losses in the last four outings. Two wins all season against FBS foes. Only six turnovers forced through nine games. That's the case against the Wolf Pack. Rams coach Jay Norvell caught some flak after leaving the Nevada job for CSU a few years ago. While he has not said much, the Rams did knock off Nevada by 10 points last season. No doubt he wants a repeat in the return to his longtime home.
The Rams offense simply isn't the same without Tory Horton. They have scored 38 points in two games since he was lost for the season. On the other side, CSU has played excellent defensive football, allowing only 19 points in those two games. Nevada is a better team than it was a year ago, but they still are a bottom tier team in the MWC. I expect this to be a 20-17 type of game.
