We're not sure anyone in the Mountain West can tackle Boise's runaway Ashton Jeanty, who needed only 13 carries to traverse 186 yards last week vs. the Utags before Spencer Danielson called off the dogs on the blue carpet. That's just the latest in a series of highlight-reel efforts from Jeanty, already ready on an astounding 1001 YR and 10.9 ypc, plus 16 TDs...and the Broncos have only played five games! Hawaii will be hard-pressed to to impede Jeanty, thought the Rainbow Warriors might be able to do some damage of their own with gunslinger QB Brayden Schager (11 TDP thus far). Note that no Boise game has landed beneath 69 points yet this season. Play Boise State-Hawaii Over
If the Broncos can avoid getting caught up in the island mellowness, this should be a blowout. They are on a mission to not only deliver a Heisman Trophy to RB Ashton Jeanty but seize the playoff spot awarded to a Group of Five member. Since a loss to Oregon, they have won thrice by an average of 32.3 points. They have covered in seven of the last 10 regular season outings. Hawaii's lone two wins came against FCS foes., though it did manage narrow losses to FBS opponents.
Boise State enters this matchup averaging 50.6 points per game. Unsurprisingly, the over has hit in all five of the Broncos' games this season. Hawaii has respectable defensive stats, but they haven't played a team that is anywhere near the same stratosphere as Boise State on the offensive side of the ball. Ashton Jeanty is as good as his stats would suggest he is. Look for Jeanty to run wild and continue his Heisman push. I expect another 50+ points from Boise State in this matchup. If Hawaii does anything on offense, this over cashes comfortably.
