Would like to go to a Backyard Brawl game once but rather doubt I'm in Pittsburgh or West Virginia anytime soon. Frankly, if I'm ever in WV something went horribly wrong. Thought last week's Pitt-Cincinnati total was too high by about a TD and it landed Under by 7 as we cashed. Think about the same here. Our model has 57 total points scored. It's WVU's first road game and those are always tough on an offense. Mountaineers coach Neal Brown would run the ball on every down if he could, and run-heavy teams are obviously a better Under bet. Last year, these teams totaled only 23 points in Morgantown, and the Brawls tend to be lower-scoring games.
I felt the number was too high in Pitt's win over Cincinnati last week, and feel the same about it here against West Virginia. Both these offenses are getting too much credit.
