Ohio is by far the better team. However, this is Maction and anything can happen. The Chippewas have been within 10 points, or less, in their last four games. Ohio has been playing close games within the conference and only have a +4.3-point differential at home.
In the odd world of the MAC, surprises are to be expected, and it will take one of those these final two games for Jim McElwain's CMU to get bowl-eligible. But the Chips are usually within earshot, and McElwain's offense has balance, able to rush for more than 200 yards when the conditions are right, with RB Marion Lukes (147 YR last week vs. WMU) helping out QB Jase Bauer. The Bobcats are bowl-bound again, but need a real parlay to overhaul Miami-O in the MAC East, and this is not a dynamic Ohio offense (held to 20 points or fewer three of last four games). Play Central Michigan
We return to the MAC tonight to back Ohio over Central Michigan. I don't see many reason to believe that CMU can keep up with Ohio in spite of the fact that CMU is one win away from becoming bowl eligible. The Chippewas offense will try to establish the run, but its unlikely to get going against a strong Ohio defense. Ohio is very good at home and is the better team on both sides of the ball.
