Things have been getting progressively worse since the Orange shot themselves in the foot several times in a 31-14 loss to Clemson early in October; since then, the Cuse has been outscored 119-20 in three losses, which has started the war drums beating pretty loudly for Dino Babers outside of the Dome. A far cry from the old rival Eagles who have won four in a row to give beleaguered HC Jeff Hafley some breathing room (and bowl eligibility with a win tonight), all neatly coinciding with UCF dual-threat transfer QB Thomas Castellanos sparking the offense with his arm and especially his legs (393 YR and 6 rush TDs the past four wins). These two teams are heading in opposite directions thanks to a 4 game winning streak from Boston College and a 4 game losing streak from Syracuse. In defense of Syracuse, they have had a tough schedule, but they have also barely competed in the 4 game stretch of games (this is due in part to some significant injuries on both sides of the ball). I like the trajectory of Boston College and I think they offer enough behind dual threat Thomas Castellanos to get the job done tonight. I'll take the points.

Both teams love to run the football with the Eagles running for 200+ yards in their last four games. Syracuse has run the ball 56% of the time while playing from behind the past four games. My model has both teams having a better defense then their offenses. Syracuse is 6-2 under.

Take the +3 as soon as possible. I think the Circa had the correct number when they opened Boston College-3. Syracuse (4-4) has lost four straight games while being outscored 150-34 and Boston College (5-3) has won four straight games. The Eagles have revenge from a 32-23 loss at home last year.
