Baylor is a good team that suffered tough losses to BYU in overtime and Oklahoma State. No shame in either of those. The Bears can score in a hurry with an electric passing game and also showed they can pound the ball with two games of over 259 yards rushing. West Virginia has just two wins and three losses against quality opponents. This could be its breakthrough win this season. But Baylor is better, so took the Bears on the money line.
Handicapping is funny. I do all this research on most games and it's like a pick'em (although obviously my record speaks for itself). Then there are ones like last night's Louisiana-Marshall game. OK, I'm gonna watch it and they are both pretty good on defense and one QB is out. About the extent of my research. Boom. Win. Pretty much same here. Not doing a deep dive other than top WVU running back CJ Donaldson is out. Think Baylor is better and don't believe this would be close in Waco. Might be close in Waco north: Morgantown (actually fun place), but I'll take the spread out of the equation. Could see WVU coach Neal Brown fired if this is ugly. He's very much on the hot seat.
