Although the Eagles rarely win this matchup, they tend to keep it competitive as evidenced by the underdog covering four straight in this series. The circumstances are ripe for that rend to continue Saturday. Boston College lost its home opener to short-handed Rutgers before falling by 17 at Virginia Tech, but this team should be better than it has shown thus far. The Seminoles could be in a squeezed spot as they are coming off a hard-fought win at Louisville and face three consecutive ranked opponents after the Eagles. Florida State escaped with a 26-23 win in last year's matchup and another one-score contest could be looming.
Now that this has climbed over 17, I have to take it. Boston College definitely has been a disappointment so far but comes off essentially a no-stress scrimmage last week against Maine and has an NFL-caliber QB in Phil Jurkovec. FSU comes off a war of attrition win at Louisville where several key players went down -- including QB Jordan Travis. I highly doubt he plays in this one but frankly like +17.5 regardless. Actually believe BC stays within 10 or so. The Noles are 2-5 ATS in their past seven at home.
