Maryland looks for their third straight win and take on a Hoosiers team with their head coach on the hot seat. Indiana is 11-1 SU at home while the Terrpains are 1-4 SU. Despite all their recent struggles, Indiana is still holding their opponents to less than 68 points at home. Their also getting healthier with Malik Reneau back in the lineup.
Summit League...or Big Ten? The pace of play in the Big Ten has often looked as brisk as the Summit thanks in part to these two sides. Recent results confirm as much, with the Hoosiers over three straight and Terps over five of six. Some encouragement for Indiana as well with second-leading scorer F Malik Rebeau (13.3 ppg) returning to active duty after missing the previous three weeks in the midweek loss at Northwestern. Reneau only featured for 11 minutes but figures to make more of an impact on Sunday. Meanwhile Maryland has been scoring at a brisk 83.6 ppg pace and saw key weapons G Derik Queen & F Julian Reese combine for 52 points in the midweek stunner at Illinois. Play Maryland-Indiana Over
Maryland is the new team du jour in the Big Ten after that 91-70 romp at Illinois, when Julian Reese led the assault with 27 points and Derik Queen added 25, but worth noting that the Terps lost their previous four Big Ten road tilts, with that success at Champaign-Urbana their only of the season to date as a visitor. Meanwhile the Hoosiers have looked a bit shaky while losing three of four but Mike Woodson did get some good news in the loss at Northwestern on Wednesday as key cog F Malik Reneau returned to active duty for the first time in three weeks. Reneau only played 11 minutes but figures to be much more involved in the offense on Sunday. Play Indiana
Can Maryland actually win two games in a road in the Big 10? I actually believe so. They got back to their high-pace style at Illinois and it helped get super freshman Derik Queen back on track after some very erratic outings. He and JuJu Reese are too much inside for the Hoosiers. Terps are a top-10 team in the nation in second-chance points. Hoosiers have covered just 1 of their last 4 games and just 2 of their last 5 at home and are just 2-5 ATS as a dog. I expect a spirited and confident MD team after righting their season at Illinois.
