Nicholls State is off to an impressive start. The Colonels stand 7-5 straight-up. Yet, in a bizarre bit of scheduling, they trek Washington (the state) for a game 12 days after playing there -- with only practices in between. Seattle U is certainly a softer touch than Gonzaga, which thrashed Nicholls by 30 points, but the late-night tip (10 p.m. ET) works to the Redhawks' advantage. They are coming off a season highlight -- a win at Washington. It happened seven days ago, so the Redhawks, unlike Nicholls, should have no issue with rust.
